Panic PanicPanic by ~Custard-Lover
Uncertainty delivers indecisions promise
And the fear grows like an
O'er inflated birthday balloon,
Near bursting it's vile poison
Directly into my bloodstream.
I take deep breaths,
Grasping for control before
I'm lost in the void,
Struggling for air and
Leaking cold sweat from every pore.
The control comes at a price
And my eyes shine with effort and shame.

What Is Love What is love? What Is Love by ~Custard-Lover
What is love but a liars token?
Fragile dreams that are made to be broken.
A forgotten rush of endorphine bliss.
Misplaced trust and a passionate kiss.
Her eyes that once met mine with joy,
Now look through me, so full of despair.
Those tender caresses, once desperate and warm,
Now go through the motions, the passion not there.
A fissure exists where our feelings once were,
So vast it's unreal, and we try to ignore.
Pretend things are the same as ever,
Each day draws closer to the final sever.
I pack my things and you hide away,
Afraid to face the pain we wrought today.
Yet more lies of friendship we make,

The Likely Lads What happened to those 2 little boys who never said boo to a goose? Where did their innocence go and why do they frown so? Where are their brightly coloured toys that they shared with glee? Certainly not here, not in these grown up husks where love and fun and happiness never enter. One of us is dead, you see, and the other just lingers. The Likely Lads by ~Custard-Lover
The sun shines on two more young lads, breaking through the grey haze and he smiles. Memories of joyful days, those seemingly endless days that only rose glasses let us see. The lads laugh and throw their ball, unaware of the old mans tears as he turns and walks away. His time has been, many a moon before

Don't Step on the Cracks Don't step on the cracks in the pavement,Don't Step on the Cracks by ~Custard-Lover
As a child I was told.
Don't step on the cracks in the pavement,
Or you'll have bad luck until you're old.
I listened and took great care
Not to step on the cracks.
Stepping gingerly and always looking down.
Missing out on lifes small pleasures,
And always wearing a frown.
Don't step on the cracks in the pavement,
As a child I was told.
But what if the pavement is all cracks?
Maybe then it's time to be bold.
